Everyone is Eating and Growing!

 My dearest little honey buns,
If I anyone were to visit the house lately, they would probably think that I don't feed you all. The girls are always hungry! So here's a compilation of eating pictures that I've taken the past 2 weeks.

On labor day, we spent our days in a water park in Round Rock. It was the perfect place for our little family. Hailey ended up taking a short 30 minute car nap that day, but totally rocked it until bedtime.
Hannah, you especially have been complaining whining about being hungry: All. The. Time. Well, it turns out that first week of school, you grew half an inch! That explains it. We just had your annual exam and you are 92%ile in height and 90%ile in weight. You are a big girl!

Hailey, since we've weaned off "milk" in the middle of the night, your appetite has also improved. You still continue to love shrimp, bread, and broccoli.

Nathan, you have been more consistent lately with your eating. You are eating pretty quickly these days. I remember back to the days when your eating speed was easily comparable to a three toed sloth. You are just a bit over 50 pounds these days, with Hannah only trailing behind you by 2 pounds.

Also, one of our amazing neighbors brought over a jar with a caterpillar cocoon inside. We set it by the windowsill with a camera pointed at it.

A week and a half later, a beautiful butterfly emerged. We shared it with our neighbors and then we let it fly away.

As I sat down earlier this week to plan out our days, I am finding that the school days are going to be a bit crazy. I've told you both that if after school activities seem too overwhelming, let me know and we can drop one or two of them. Nathan, you told me that you like a crazy schedule. Well, we'll see what happens.

Nathan will be starting Math pentathlon and continuing with after-school piano lessons. Hannah is doing hip-hop dancing through the school and both of you are continuing with mixed martial arts. On top of those things on the weekdays, the big kids are also both attending Chinese school, which comes with 15 minutes of homework each night. I'm getting slightly overwhelmed just typing this up.
On Tuesdays, we have been going over to a neighbor's house for a play date. She is pretty much the most amazing neighbor ever!  You all go over, bang on her drums, chase her dog around, and
she even has crafts prepared for you guys to do. Whenever I say it's time to go to her house, you guys don't stall and quickly put your shoes on to head over. We are so lucky to have awesome neighbors. She's even going to watch Hailey while I coach Nathan's math pentathlon group.
So here's where I talk about what "Squeaks" and I do during the day when the big kids are at school. In the mornings, we either go to the gym, go shopping, or stay home and do chores. Hailey, you do a great job playing independently as long as I have something ready for you to do. I cleaned 3 bathrooms while you put coins into Nathan's piggy bank over and over again.

You also love to put the marble run together, you love chunky puzzles, and you also love to just sit and look at books. Oh, you also love to draw and paint. Like Nathan, you have an amazing attention span.

On Thursday, we will start the "Mommy and Me" class at National Elite Gymnastics. You went for a trial class last week and LOVED it. You had so much fun running from station to station. Shrieking, dancing, and jumping. Plus, your best friend is also taking the class with his mommy too.

You still love to try doing what Nathan and Hannah do, like playing ping pong and dancing.
You have also started to have an interest in helping me cook, although your fingers are not as strong yet for cutting. Yesterday, I just gave you a knife and some playdoh. This gave me enough time to get dinner prepped for the night.
Next week is when everything officially kicks off and we will be charging ahead full steam. Please pray for peace and sanity through it all. And may I find joy in all that I do.

Love you all,
Mommy
