DIY Sonogram Fridge Picture Frame

Our church, Bethany Lutheran Church holds a monthly gathering for families with young children come together to do simple service projects to serve the community. This month we will be making sonogram picture frames for Tru Care (formerly South Austin Pregnancy Resource Center). Since we will be making about 40 of these to start with, I thought I'd write up a tutorial that is easy for people to access.

Materials:
20 popsicle sticks
1.5" x 1" piece of adhesive magnetic tape
glue
tape (regular or double sided)
washi tape or ribbon

Instructions:
1. Count out 20 standard popsicle sticks to make this craft.
 2. Line up 15 sticks in a rectangle and set 5 aside. Be sure to line up the sticks so they are as straight as possible.
 3. Put glue on 4 of the remaining sticks.
 4. Glue them down to secure the row of 15 as shown below. Stagger them.
 5. After 30 seconds, turn the frame over.
 6. Cut a piece of washi tape and tape it at the bottom of the frame.
 7. Write a message on the last stick. In this project, we will use "A New Life Begins."
 8. Center and glue the message over the washi tape.
9 Use the guide to place down double sided mounting squares at each of the 4 corners. Be sure to only peel the white side and not the side with the heart.
 10. Cut 4 magnet strips about the width of a popsicle stick and attach them as shown below.
 11. A new mother will be able to peel off the hearts and attach their very own first picture of their new baby.
