Oak, Oak, Go Away!

Dear Nathan and Hannah,
We have tried to stay inside as much as possible, with Oak levels being so high and all. Nathan and Mommy are severely allergic to oak and then Hannah and Daddy seem to be unaffected.

So, we've spent a lot of time indoors. One of the exciting things that Nathan did this week was to make your own space ship. You've been wanting to make one for the longest time and after we got a new lawn mower, we then had the raw materials for you to create your master piece. You made a little prototype with instructions (which only you know how to read) and then you set off to add buttons, windows, levers, and steering wheel.
On, the back flap. you even added flames for where the rocket boosters shoot out fire, which I thought was pretty clever.

Besides the oak infested air, the weather has been hovering in the amazing 70's to low 80's. Too bad we are stuck inside, but hopefully not for long.
We had a short reprieve when it rained on Friday, this allowed us to spend a bit of time outside,

but then by Monday, levels were as high as they have ever been this season: Up to 4,000 something. As you can see, they've gone down quite a bit with levels only in the 1,000s this morning.

Hannah's starting to make some pretty good expressions to show disgust. Things that are stinky, or yucky will prompt you to say "hao tso tso" or "Yuck," respectively. You have also become quite the ninja tickle monster. If there is any belly skin ever exposed, you are sure to wiggle your fingers and start tickling.

Hannah also is starting to drink cow milk, which you are good at saying "Milk" You have also discovered how fun it is to blow bubbles into milk/yogurt drinks, thereby teaching your older brother how to do it as well.

Nathan will probably be going to see an ENT in the near future. Your right ear is not draining as it is supposed to, so the pediatrician things that the ENT will be able to help with that. I really don't like loading you up with so much medication each day. I'll update that in a bit.

This week, Nathan, I think I want to work on you communicating with Hannah more. For the longest time, I would mediate when any conflict came in between you, but now that Hannah is able to understand you and follow directions, I want you to start to practice talking to her and telling her what you want, instead of whining to me that she's about to ruin [insert anything]. She's really not that bad. She is great at following directions and she just wants to do what you are doing because she thinks you are the coolest person ever.

Well, that's about it for this week. Pretty uneventful, but we'll have a super exciting week next week, in fact, I may be too busy to post on time, so I may just do a mega two week post in 2 weeks.

Love,
Mommy
